can anyone tell me anything ablout QUINTEN LYNCH. Just been browsing over the Herald Sun for possible picks by us and his description sounded quite good.

Armstrong also got quite a big wrap.

As a West Perth supporter, I have seen Lynch a few times. He's big and has potential. I'm not sure I'd draft him though - I'm just not convinced he would make it at AFL, but I don't really know much about it.

he's been to the last 2 draft camps so they all must be having a good look at him. I haven't see him play but from all reports he's a powerhouse and seems to be highly rated.

Well I think we will get Polack with #3. With the #6, it could be any of about 5 players minimum, depends on who WC rates the most. Xavier Clarke is apparently a possibility. With the #22, I think the club will go for a defender here, maybe Aidan Parker or Quinten Lynch or maybe a player from interstate. #38, another midfielder and #54 if we use it, could be anything.

i think we have to go for polak, sounds like he could be the quality chf we need.

i'd definitely go for a midfielder with the next pick - and get one who'll be happy to live in perth. that means armstrong or clarke i think. and another midfielder with the pick after that.

i know a few people here think we've got a lot of midfield talent but i think that we need more real quality in there. you've only got to compare brisbane's options in the midfield to see how far we're off the pace in that area.

i don't think we're in desperate need for key defenders at the minute. i think glass and gaspar will step up next year if they have no major injuries and carroll, jakovich and mcintosh will be there too. having said that we could pick up a tall defender for insurance with a late pick.

I think this would be my ideal (and realistic)draft:
#3 Polak
#6 Armstrong (Unless Ball or Judd are still available)
#22 Damon White
#38 Aidan Parker

The reasons:
*Polak is the obvious choice at #3, can't see any reason why we wouldn't pick him up.
*Armstrong is the 2nd best WA midfielder (behind Sampi), so unless Judd and Ball are still available, he seems a good choice. But we could also pick up Hodge, Clarke, Power, etc, so its a bit of a raffle.
*Damon White is a fairly tall forward who has impressed at the camp. Isn't high profile so shouldn't be picked up by then.
*Aidan Parker could be a good tall backup to Glass, Gaspar and Collica. Worth a risk at #38

I wouldn't pickup anyone else with our next pick, #54. We would be better off letting a few youngsters train with us in the preseason and pick em up in the pre-season draft.

Thats my opinion. I wouldn't mind seeing other people's predictions and reasons.

personally i think we should do it this way

3. polak

we need a chf/ff wtih some actual ability
lets face it, cummings sierra and wilson while solid dont know the maning of the word atheletic ability

6.David hale or Barry brooks
both 198cm, plus and can play forward.
we are sadly lacking key position players, worsfold has said that the next 2 years wont be finals, so its best that we develop some key positon players in that time, it will benefit us much more if develop them now, midfielders take much less time, a player of ottnes atheletic ability like these 2 would be great
if we dont pick up one of these 2 and go for a midfielder
judd or clarke or power, height and ability

22a midfielder, the best 180cm plus midfielder, if we get a midfielder with pick six then damon white here

38 aaron rogers, mainly because someobody on here has been raving about him in the past, chb is what we need

54 tall midfielder wtih potential
70 tall midfielder wtih potential

the last 2, if we go that low in the draft
should be players that have great potential but have been held back through injury etc, try to find some stars that havent been given the chance to shine,
delisting late draft picks isnt too hard either :)

6 in all, i feel thats about right for this draft, 2 rookie promotions
list expanding by 2, 6 delistings needed, preferably 7 to leave 1 pos for the preseason draft
kemp donnely tunbull antona is 4, i hope harding, (one of) cummings and wilson, thats 6,
no doubt there is someone around the club who is lazy and wont impress woosha, ....

Decisions, Decisions! I've been hearing huge wraps about Xavier Clarke. If we are able to pick him up at #6, is there any chance that Armstrong will still be around at #22 or will he be snapped up in the top 20? Either way, it looks like we will miss out on a quality player.

Armstrong will almost certainly stay in WA, there's just so much midfield talent around now i can't see why someone would want to draft an interstater?!?

So unless Freo pick him up before us, we could get him at #22, but then what happens to Damon White? I doubt he will be available at #38.
