Possible trades

i was thinking first round draft pick plus s.king for fevola. change of club would do fev good, a successful team would erode discipline problems and i think our first round pick would be 15 - 20 anyway.

We would love Fev... but not in 2008... had this situation came up in 2001-2005 we would have jumped at giving our first pick for Fev.

But now, we have Cameron Mooney playing brilliantly at full forward, and then we have Nathan Ablett and Tom Hawkins who both desperately need gametime if they are to improve. Getting Fev would kill the development of NAB and Tommahawk.

Geelong should look for another outside midfielder in the draft - to compliment the hard-ball-winning-ability of Joel Corey, Jimmy Bartel, Joel Selwood, Gary Ablett and Paul Chapman.

Imagine a Travis Johnstone (or similar player) being able to play without taggers (cause Gaz and Jimmy will get the attention) to just freely play his natural outside game on the end of our hard-ball winning midfield feeding him with easy delivery. We would be simply unstoppable.

I don't think that I would touch Fev with a barge pole.

As a Collingwood supporter we would be very interested in Tenace. Why is he not rated around here? We need more midfield depth, especially young quick midfielders.

Depending on the price David Johnson would be worth a look for us as we are lacking in traditional back pocket players who can do a job on a dangerous small forward. Is he that bad or have other players taken over his spot?

Prismall is a good young player and just would be worth a look from most clubs, but I doubt he'll be traded.

David Johnson is a good player who is cleary better than VFL level. He is out of the team because of an ill timed calf injury. Has only just come back from that but will struggle to break back in because of the success Geelong has been having.

Tenace is only an outside chance of being traded. I just think that one of David Johnson, Josh Hunt & Tenace wil seek more opportunity elsewhere.

With DJ, Hunt, Tenace, Wojak, Milburn, Mackie, Harley, Scarlett, Egan, Enright all trying to squeeze into the backline, somebody doesn't fit into the team. Those players are too good to be sitting in the 2's. The midfield is even harder to crack.

I wouldn't mind betting that Collingwood, similar to what they did with Bartel, throw a bit of coin on the table to try and nab Prismall who is out of contract at years end.
