So this weekend I had a bit of a footy weekend. Flew to Queensland to see the Suns last night, and this morning flew to WA to see Essendon. At the game the news comes out that all flights into Melbourne have been cancelled. I'm not due to fly back till Tuesday but ash isn't known to clear quickly. So I'm facing the possibility of being stranded in Perth for a few days. Ideas/suggestions for things to do if I'm stuck here?

If it's anything like Adelaide (i'd imagine they are the same places), just deck yourself now.
If it was Adelaide I'd find a taxi driver and pay him whatever the hell it takes.

Perth >> daylight >> Adelaide.

Hire a car, go down the coast and chill out.

6pm on a Sunday when you don't have to work and you're on BigFooty rather than at a Sunday session. Perth fail.

Whatever you want to do tomorrow you've got the daylight hours to do it in. After that hoardes of undead zombies roam the streets. Or for some other less plausible reason everything is shut.

I flew in from Brisbane this morning and was just at the footy. I'm a tad tired :p

You must have a bit of cash to splash around if you're flying up to Queensland to watch North vs Gold Coast. :o
Well I don't drink and don't go out to nightclubs or things like that. So I don't really spend money.

The idea was that I wanted to go to a game Gold Coast were a chance of winning. That didn't go too well.

Yeah go to Freo (20 mins by train from horseshoe part in Perth near Carillion)have a little stroll there, not sure if they'll be open but visit the markets.
Also, buy fish and chips for lunch in Freo- way better than Melbourne:D

Green light is still on.

You don't really like going outside, do you? :D
Nope :p

I was up till 5am watching the Grand Prix because of all the red flags. So I didn't wake up that long ago :p

I'm not taking off until 2pm tomorrow so I'll go have a look at Perth this afternoon and tomorrow morning.

I live in Adelaide and I rate Perth higher. Amazing weather and gorgeous women over there are just two of the things it has over Adelaide. :thumbsu:

You base quality of living on a little bit more sunshine (and a shit load more wind) and a slight disparity in the attractiveness of the opposite sex?

I'm willing to give him the weather thing - our summers here in Adelaide have been shit over the past couple of years, and winter seems to run from March to October here now too - but I think for our population we've got a pretty good ratio of attractive women here. "Punching above our weight" as the saying goes.
