Haven't started a thread for a while (in my infinate laziness), but the new Powderfinger song has got my brain ticking...

What is your favorite Powderfinger song, and how do you rate this band?

I think D.A.F (Cascading Down) and Whatever Makes You Happy are my favorites.

Personally, I think they are my favorite Aussie band, and are sure to crack it overseas soon...

I tell or my friends OS to download their songs, and they love them!

Powderfinger's a good Aussie band, probably my fave Aussie band at the moment.
My favourite song of theirs is My Happiness , they've got plenty of other good ones though.
 
Without a doubt Passenger is there best song. Top top tune. My fave aussie band however is Jebediah! They rock. Ive got my cousin in England and all his mates into them, so now Jebs has a small following in the UK :)

Don't mind most of their stuff, but if they ever, ever, ever cover an Iron Maiden song again, I'll go heave. Their version of Number Of The Beast is ****e. Someone should tell people to leave the classics alone.

I dont rate the band at all. I find them to be utterly pathetic to be quite honest. I like plenty of softer music like Jebediah, Dire Straits etc. but Powderfinger do nothing for me, and in my opinion the lead singer has the worst voice in music at the moment.

Saying that tho, My Happiness is a great song...the only song i like of theirs.

In my opinion they have completly changed how they sound. Their real early stuff used to rock something chronic...as soon as they hit success they started doing all this soft stuff. Not good.

I reckon they are just boring. Four minutes of whiny vocals is too much for me - it doesn't help that Triple M in Melbourne play a Powderfinger song EVERY bloody hour, otherwise they'd probably be a bit more palatable. I saw them live at BDO in January 2001, and nearly fell asleep standing up.

Everyone will have their own tastes in music, but the only 'Finger I've got, is the one going down my throat when I hear these guys. :D

I didnt even bother seeing Powderfinger at this years BDO...i sat down and got something to eat instead, and then found my spot in the Rammstein mosh.

If you reckon this years Powderfinger set was boring....you should of seen them at the 1999 BDO! TALK ABOUT BORING. EVERY song was slow....every damn song...not to mention the fact that they went 20 minutes over their alloted time which cut out bloody Korns set by 20 minutes!

I cant stand the bastards.
The lead singer thinks he is Michael Hutchence the second
