how does this work? i was told you can buy a kit from a newsagent. so if i buy one and fill it in, do i send it away anywhere?

You need to fill it in & sign it in front of a Justice of the peace from memory & of course nominate the person who will act as you POA if you are not in a state to conduct your own affairs, but that is part of filling in the form from memory.

Most Pharmacists act as JP's & also are Police I think, there are usually some appointed JP's in most areas too.

oh ok so then once its done my power of attorney can go into a bank and sign for me, same with tax etc? all they gotta do is show the form?
