Will all the Pollies and Council reps be going again on trade missions at tax and ratepayer expense.

In what world is a darts player a sportsman? They drink pints whilst playing!
What on earth are you on about? I think you must have amazing skills to be able to drink a pint or 3 and still hit the dart board!! Only a professional who has spent tireless hours drinking beer can do that type of thing. I think they could be our best sportsmen yet...!

Agree, if I had 3 pints with a dart in my hand you better not enter the room even if the dart board is at the opposite end of the room from where the entrance door is!

I played darts years ago and often found that the drunker I became the better I played. :drunk:
Same with ten-pin bowls.

Leaving everything else aside, how does a local fan travelling TO China help the China project at all?

I have no idea .... truly. They're flogging off tickets at half price or giving them away for games here.

This whole thing's reasoning escapes me. Even their initial rationale has backfired.

Apparently, and I never really got this either, somehow Chinese businesses were going to flock to the club with sponsorship $$$.

Instead, their sponsor has dumped them to use the money to take their business TO China, and the only Chinese money is being spent to put this fiasco on IN China.

It's really quite bizarre

Port's landmark game, their attempt at an answer to the big marquee games in Victoria :D

After all the chest beating from Rucci and the other Port supporters about what a landmark game it was going to be, it was hilarious for it to be eventually confirmed to everyone that outside of Alberton there was/is very little interest in the game. The ratings were so poor that it led to Seven jettisoning the "landmark" game after one season.

Their big push into China was nothing more than a 12k seat supposedly "sold out" crowd filled with a mixture of Port supporters from Australia and ex-pat Aussies with little to no China "fans" there.

Zero national free to air coverage and absolutely zero interest, yet the footy world is apparently jealous of Port :drunk:

Helping Gold Coast tourism though... ;)

Works for 8 ball as well up to a point where you start seeing double. I call beer aiming fluid.

An Adelaide based fan traveling to China does what it exactly?

Increases interest in China
Increases sponsors in China?
Boosts ratings?
Increases ratings?

Literally I don’t follow the argument

Me neither. And not one puffer can explain it.

I see it has done nothing other than allow Koch a forum for his family's business based in Hong Kong.

"the eldest daughter Samantha runs the family business focusing on small business content in Hong Kong where she lives with her husband, Toby, and their three young children."

It's just another Powa "look at me" excercise - financials will be interesting

AFLX could involve all players having 6 pints before the game and 2 more at each break. I'd watch it then.

Ahaha
Now no sponsor is good !!!

"i wouldn't mind it being sorted between rounds 3 and 6, give us a few matches with a cleaner jumper

Pappagallo likes this."

Cleaner jumper ....
This is why I love that club's flogs ....
100% deluded

“Our existing corporate partners, in particular joint Major Partner OAK embraced our vision for growth and we welcomed some new and exciting companies to Port Adelaide such as Ausgold Mining, Cathay Pacific andHaneco Lighting, who have all joined on the back of our China expansion.”

How can you have a joint major partner if there’s only one? Who are they joined with?
