As far as I've discerned, we have 2 Praccy's this year. First one in a week against Preston, unsure of what time or where, the other a curtain raiser for the Marsh Series against Geelong in Colac on March 9. Might be able to get down to next week's, depending on when I find out where they're playing and what time.

The VFL has to have the most incompetent media group in general, both social and normal. With ours being probably the worst club within the VFL

Asked Paul Cousins on twitter, he responded with:

Northern Blues: Friday the 28th at 6:30 PM at Princes Park
Geelong: Colac on 9th March at 1
Box Hille: Cragieburn on 22/03 at 11:30

Josh Iacobaccio and Muhammad Saad have crossed from Coburg, that's interesting. And Darby is back, good to see. Solid key post at either end

ant555 Were you at the game tonight? How was it?
Had a look. Very ordinary game, lots of turn over from both sides. We won by 5 goals but it was hard to take anything away from the game other than Bryan has some seriously good tap skills as far as ruck craft goes. Begley quad , Stringer calf and McQuillan shin where all iced up just after half time. Could not reallt say who was best as there where so many mistakes it was frustrating to watch and the lights are not great so it was hard to see the other side of the ground in the last quarter.

How did 52 Josh Kemp go? Hoping he wins a spot on the VFL list.

Yeah, we should be winning these sorts of games. Cats could be a test.

I did not see him do a lot but I was watching Begley and Stringer around the ground to see what they where up as far as work rate so i missed a lot of the VFL players. After half time it was getting to dark to really have a close look on the other side of the ground. On a side note all of our recruiting team was there having a look.

Our defence could be an issue. No Hartley . BZK and Ridley maybe playing seniors leaves a big hole.

Fletcher Roberts is in and Matthew Darby is a solid citizen at worst but yeah, I agree. Port, Richmond, Willy will all be tough to contain forward of centre.

McBride as a pure key defender? With McKenna back, Ridley should play more VFL than AFL. Who else?
Think you will find Ridley plays a lot of AFL this year.

In whose place are you thinking? ...or off the bench. I look at Redman and Francis and can't see Ridley's type there. Hurley, BZT in lieu of Hooker, McKenna and Saad. With Cutler and Ham, he's not on a wing. I don't see how.

McKenna is most likely to play forward (probably high half forward) given that is where he has spent the summer training. Ridley is a seriously good ball user and a better defender that McKenna and is pretty cool under pressure. Obviously does not have the pace of McKenna but they are looking at more poise form the back half rather than all out speed.

...and I just remembered Gleeson. Who misses out?

We play 7 defenders

3x talls: Hurley, Francis, BZT/Ambrose/Hooker
2x mediums: Gleeson, Ridley
2x smalls: Saad, Redman

I hadn't noticed we're at 7, not 6? How so?
How many players play 100% game time? You have one defender start on the bench
I'd trial Ridley over Gleeson and see how he goes. I think Ridley will be the better player.
Gleeson has to be the most underrated player on this board.

Gleeson is on the border of best 22 for mine, still hasn’t ironed out a few issues I have.
