Practice matches

Anyone know when the WCE will play their fiirst practice matches? And where? And against who? And anything else you might know?

Any info would be greatly appreciated as I wanna attend a few matches this year, and figured the sooner I go the better. Especially since its been 3yrs since my last match

I just heard the eagles are playing an intraclub practice match from 9:20am on friday. Is anyone going? I would really like to hear from someone what the squad looks like.

I've actually got Friday off, so I might head down.
Although my constant screams of 'I love you Jako' might be off putting for the players.

The 9:20am start is a pain though. Usually I like to sleep in on my days off.

I'll let you know if I decide to go.

I heard that they are playing the scratch match at 9.20am because it would be in the mid 30s if played in the afternoon, and we don't want any of the players collapsing this early in the season!

A good move, it has been really hot all week so its a good idea to play in the morning.

Well my day off didn't eventuate, and I'm at work as I write this post.

It's pretty annoying because I had made my mind up to go, and was going to do a match report for Footy Buzz.

Hopefully Gary Stocks gives us some info over at the official website.

Nope, it was today.

Just heard the news headlines, and they said something about Cousins killing them all. Big surprise there.

Betcha Rowan Jones had to tag him today. Poor ba$****.

Let's hope Willow didn't kill anyone.

I just saw the news report on the intraclub game and apparently Ben Cousins carved them up, no surprises there...but the bright spots were that it looks like Whoosha has plans for Wirrpunda in the midfield, he played the game in the midfield and looked great. Peter Matera also played in the midfield and they said he looked real good too. Chris Judd also played really well...our midfield will be decent this season no question.

In a quick interview JW expressed his wish for Wirrpunda to play through the midfield with health permitting! That is a good move and one that should have been done years ago.

Ashley Sampi was another who impressed the coaching staff... maybe he'll do a "Kerr" this season
