My missus though likes MKR. It's amazing and infuriating how many ad's they cram into every hour. Even if I liked the show I couldn't put myself through that many ad's.
We don't watch MKR on TV because of the ads, but wait until they put it on 7plus (which is usually straight after it airs) and then all you get is a few promos in place of all those ads. All you need is wifi/chromecast to watch it on your TV then.

Cable TV in the US?

Bzzzz... wrong!

Correct answer:

I was living here at the time when the news came through from the states. We didn't see the episode until later. Unbelievable hype. Who killed JR? - question of the decade!

I've just had FTA since I returned to Australia a year ago after having about 250 channels to choose from in the states via cable. It hasn't worried me too much, though I do miss a few US cable series and the footy on Fox. I find FTA and watching shows online fills up my days. (I'm also now addicted to YouTube.) And what's wrong with ads? At my age I can use all of the toilet breaks I can get. :p

Barely ever watch Australian TV. In fact, I tried to watch something a few weeks ago, realised I needed to download an app, sign up and I gave up.

Then I tried to watch MAFS the other night, accidently clicked out of it and lost where I was at and couldn't fast forward back there.

Shitty as. I'll stick to streaming and KAYO for sport.

as those without the technological know-how pass on, you'd imagine fta would longer term be used mostly by those of a lower socio-economic standing simply because internet connections cost money and internet to the house is not completely necessary. i think rupe has his finger on the pulse there with sky news.

the quality of tv is less relevant than whether advertisers still find it useful. and there will always be companies wanting to shovel something out to those who use it.

Ok so was partially wrong on the ads on streaming. None of my streaming has ads but I pay for it not to. Stupidly didnt see that they would introduce a low cost version with ads to give consumers more options. Thats on me for not predicting consumer wants.

On the latter im assuming I was right. There is no more tv. Houses dont come with aerials anymore so how do I get tv without an aerial. I havent watched a single bit of tv since i posted this thread. Has anyone else?

Yes

Crime Stoppers is on at 6pm still on Ch 7 and 9 7 days a week

Yell at clouds is on at 7pm on Ch 9

Anyway did you answer your thread question Seeds

What date?
Wow way to get into ancient tech.

And crimestoppers? I thought they stopped that in 1993. Are they still banging on about mr cruel? Nothing like crime stoppers trying to scare little kids witless by giving the crims scary names.

Yes Crimestoppers is on once a week; I think before Footy Calcified

Idk tbh but I’ve seen it sometime
