Not since the Funk Squad have I seen such amateurish entertainment. I suggest Reidy and Co. leave the taking of the acid to after the planning meetings from now on.

What the hell was the story with the Mexicans?

The mexicans were part of an acrobat troupe , who I thought were collecting money, but in the end looked like they were advertising some show they were in.

The dancing girls? Im 42 and have poor eyesight and dont sit in the members... so my member wasnt interested. Dancing girls are so 1992

I thought the pre game entertainment was the football game. Good on the army and navy in playing the game

My mate needs the dancing girls to start his heart every match. :D

Apparantly the dance sqaud's only going to be at 3 games this year. I hope that isn't true - they should be at every game.

If sponsorship is an issue, then surely the club can divert the money used to hire the bumblebees and Mexicans and clowns on stilts to the dance squad.

I actually find the bumblebees and Mexicans to be an embarrassment to the club, and the club has to stop using them at once. I'd rather have no pre-match entertainment than this rubbish.

I'll be really worried when it comes to having a big mechanical fist, making sexual gestures, rolling around the boundary.

Until it gets to that stage, I don't really care.

Army vs RAAF!!! Not sure the RAAFies would be happy being mistaken for the Navy :D

Can't they just show ten minutes of Crows highlights on the big screens and crank out some ACDC?

Cost: $0
Cringeworthy rating: 0

Sometimes the easiest solutions are the best.

Good point... if they put together a decent package running through the two clubs histories against each other, id probably make some effort to leave the shed slightly earlier before the match.

I don't care if the dancing girls are bad but they seem a far better option of pre-match entertainment than some of the crap both SA teams dish up.

The Power's funk squad have been atrocious, but the acrobats, mexicans, stiltwalkers, and some 3 piece band trailing everyone make the funksquad look top class.

Fans must come from interstate and just think WTF.

Instead of that crap, they could have made the RAAF v Army match go longer than 2x25 minute halves.

Both Port's and our pre-match entertainment have been absolutely crap and totally irrelevant to the proceedings.

On both occasions it has looked like some bloody circus performers have lost their way and come to the wrong gig. :thumbsd:

The dancing girls are cheer leaders and at least that has traditionally had some connection with footy.

What bizarre form of entertainment will be next??

Pie eating contests or knife jugglers??

Maybe not the most exciting but I'd probably at least pay some attention if they grabbed a few people out of the crowd (maybe some ex-players/local celebrities as well.. I dont know) and had a few goal kicking type competitions or longest kick or you know those kinda things and had some prizes.

Probably not exciting enough for those who thought of the circus or whatever they are to consider though lol

You sure it was a fist? From where I was sitting, it looked like a hand with a firm grip on something ... just couldn't tell what exactly.
