Premier for Dockers

I know this is going to sound shallow but considering I rate most politicians as useless as each other, being a Dockers supporter is usually enough to get my vote.

If Bell ever makes it to the leader of a party I won't even have to think about who to vote for.

Alan Carpenter??.......... oh you mean the guy i saw on t.v last year wearing the eagles scarf???

I was actually very shocked last year when my brother said he would be wearing an eagles scarf to the grand final. Reason: (because he is a west australian) pfft
He has been a docker member since their inception.
I stared at him in disbelief. I was speechless. There is no way in the world i could even contemplate wearing an eagles scarf.
But it only took me about 30 seconds to change his mind, and he wore his freo gear.
I said to him:
1) Would you feel proud wearing the eagles scarf?? reply: 'No'
2) How would it make you feel wearing it?? reply: 'A traitor'
3) What would your friends think when seeing you wearing it?? He didn't answer that one, but he did realise it just wasn't right, all because he is a west aussie.

Was standing in the Duke of Wellington on Flinders St after the Collingwood game last year and who strolls through the door with family in tow, Carps. Headed to the bar bought a drink for him and Missus and kicked back and watch the replay on tele with the rest of us. No minders that I could see and blended in like one of the mob. Top bloke in my eyes and a true purple person. Good on ya Carps.

Unfortunately it's just not considered prudent for the premier of WA to barrack against a WA team. Even if he does hate them, which he does.

i remember standng next to carps in the line at subi train station queuing for tickets to go home (before free transport)
a nice normal bloke who doens't expect any favours cos he's "famous"

You can the boy out of Lockyer, but you can't take the Lockyer out of the boy.

He has said he doesn't need any "minders" at Subi Oval, because the fellow supporters around him are his best minders.
