Last time I checked Sticks was only the interim President of the club. Does this mean during the off season, considering Dick is still engulfed in all the legal work, we will have a new president?

I remember reading a while ago that they were talking about this financial whiz, Richard Newton would take the reigns. Don't know much about him other than the fact that he's a major shareholder of Victory.

Will Sticks be leaving? Is Pratty Coming Back? Will we have the NAB guy as our president? Is this Richard Newton or is there someone else whose in line for the biggest gig in Melbourne.

As far as I know Sticks is there until the Pratt legalities are over with. I doubt whether they'd bump Pratt along considering he only stepped aside. This is just my view from when it happened I haven't read anything since.

I would have thought our off-field operations are going along pretty smoothly at the minute, so I wouldn't have thought there would have been any need to make a change there, unless of course it is absolutely necessary.

Hypothetical: If Dick gets in the shit with the ACCC and is incapable of regaining Presidency (for whatever reason)........what the hell would we do?

Would we keep with Sticks for 2009, or get another bloke in pre season? Who would be the front runners?

Having Dick prop up the club with his own dough is asking for trouble. Sooner or later that money will go. We need to be self-sufficient....2002-2007 can never happen again.

I don't reckon we'll rush into anything Dick will always be there. As far as I'm concerned he's still our president, with all due respect to Sticks he's just the front for the Presidency at the moment. And I don't think Sticks will end up with the job mainly because I doubt he wants it.

If Dick is found guilty he'll never be re-appointed but I would say any prospective president would have to understand that Dick will always be there in the background.
