whats the word on Presti...

Great news on Fraser, although Collingwood arent really a great clearance side

True, but it means you'd think Hammer would be able to take more than 50% of the ruck duties as he'll be up against some pretty lame rucks. This would allow Kreuzer to be deadly in the Forward Line.

Get Kreuzer to stay in the square... Fev to fake a lead out to 40-50m.. kick over Fev's head to the Kreuze..... mark & goal!

Kreuzer to kick 6 :)

Heard Presti trained well so he will line up as we know, no N.Brown or Fraser and Brad Dick didn't train not that he is anything to worry about.

We will run all over this mob again! ;)

Is it just me or does this game have the same build up feeling "something in the air" that we had just before Round 1.

I think this week we're going to play like we did in Round 1 and absolutely smash the Pies.... I have only been confident coming into 2 games this year... Round 1 and Now!!!

Blues by 72!

PS:
We all know that Presti has sore ribs... would it be a wise match-up if Fev is on Presti.... you know how Fev likes to mark with his knees lately :p

Fraser out for two weeks :thumbsu::thumbsu:

I love all these prediction threads before Collingwood(and Essendon) games.
Haven't you people realised that form means nothing in these games!
Even in our darkest years we were beating the Evil empire and the Army of Darkness.
Don't worry about whose missing and who is going in favourite, all I'm hoping for is 4 quarters of the footy we played in the second half last week!

Lets vanquish the Evil empire and put poor old Mick out of his misery.

Gees I hope you;re right..I feel relatively confident...I heard on SEN just now that Presti could be a late withdrawl...
I would love to smash the Pies, just a perfect way to kick off the weekend. GO BLUE BOYS GO !!

Fraser out for two weeks :thumbsu::thumbsu:

This is VERY good for us and i can see Kruezer having a field day especially floating forward against an undersized Pie defense.

Cant wait for the Game. I just hope the right Carlton turns up on the night. :D

Cam Wood and Leigh Brown vs Kreuzer and Hammer is the bit that I like best.

We should smash them in the clearances, and neither of their big blokes does much around the ground.

I'm on my way over for a one-night-only stay so come on you Blues.

I had the same feeling (eg a repeat of Round 1) against Essendon and I was right, however we were the ones that got belted :(

I know we have the players, but my worry is can Ratten tactically out-coach Malthouse on game day? The jury is still out with me with Ratten, maybe if he outcoaches Malthouse in this game, I'll be convinced. With Fraser out, I think we can win the clearances and stoppages. We need to play to our own gameplan, run and carry quickly into the forward 50 (as per 1/2 half last week) and not go too defensive with too many taggers and the like early against Sydney.
I've got a feeling Presti (sore ribs) will be a late withdrawal for them which will make it easier for Fev. The Collingwood BF forum are bemoaning the retention of Leigh Brown, and the inclusion of Dawes, which is a good sign for us.
A win would give us a chance of a top 4 spot, Go Blues!!!

Don't be too confident...

we don't know which Carlton team will turn up yet.....

so a win against a team/coach ratten has won the last three against is going to be your measuring stick to how good a coach he is?

4th time the sealer for you?

you know why we should beat collingwood mor then anything
its pretty simple. Collingwood do not protect the corridor. Fraser runs the corridor, with him clogging up the middle, his height makes it difficult to switch, wth him out, wood and brownie dont have the footy smarts. We should annihalate them if they dont protect the middle. 50 point win, count on it:D

I have to work tonight but...if we win by more than 50 points, i'll tell you which bar i manage in the city and I'll give you some free drinks :)
