I've never been a great fan of Prissie, especially the way people rant on about him here. But he has won me over a bit in the last month. There just seems to be so much talent and potential there. The Cats need to do their best to keep him I feel; with a bit more development he woiuld be a very important player for the club.

I like Prismall.

It is all up to him if he is a cat next year. Geelong want him but he may feel that he will get a better chance at a career at another club.

I would be sad if he were to leave but would have to respect his choice.

Ranting? Hmmm! Suggesting he wasn't getting a fair crack is more to the point.

Nah, he wasn't getting a fair crack. But there were some people on here who is suggesting he was better then kelly, etc etc. Those were the sort of rants I am referring to :P

Good player. Will be hard to keep at the club imo

But one thing i do know. There will surely be some shopping, with the geelong list, from other clubs. Gamble, Prismall, Varcoe, Byrnes, D.Johnson, Taylor, Hawkins & maybe even Lonergan, will all be looked at by other clubs. Some maybe even poached :(

He's not that far off Kelly. I think his best may be better than Kelly's best too. We'll know in a couple of years

I agree totally. When Byrnes, Tenace etc etc were getting games ahead of him most couldnt understand it. No one has ever said he is the next Ablett but just 'ranted' about him not getting an opportunity when he seemed to deserve one. He has slotted into our midfield beautifully. Disposal efficiency is incredible for a young fella. Second again today only to Harley. Well done Pris.

The best way to keep him at the cattery next season is to give him the finals spot he so richly deserves. If he gets dropped while someone like Byrnes keeps his spot then i dont see why he would stick around when other clubs are looking for his services.

There's room for more on the bandwagon.Jump on board

How would they compare after their first 20 games? It must be close

The thing is players are not picked in the team based on their first 20 games but what they are producing at the time.

Kelly had a very good start to his career which saw him being named as teh best youngster from his draft at the club.

I think his awesome but i doubt he will be in the best 22 come finals if we have a full list too choose from. Which is a real shame as i would love to see him get a run in the finals.

Well some of the board have been singing his praises for a long time, I'm one of them. He has been a bit frustrating as a few of us know what he can produce, I'm happy for him that he is starting to show everyone what he can do.

Foremost, it is great to see some of the people that were bagging him out that he is not an AFL football player finally start to eat their words.

Prismall has deserved his spot in the best 22 for the finals. He has shown he can kick goals, similarly he has probably some of the best foot skills in the team. Some of his passes yesterday were fantastic, even in terrible conditions.

Whose spot does he take?

As per the team page, I'd most likely like to see the following run out next week:

B: Enright Scarlett Hunt
HB:Milburn Harley Mackie
C:Selwood Bartel Corey
HF:S.Johnson Mooney Chapman
F: Stokes Lonergan Prismall
R:Ottens Ablett Ling
Int:Blake Wojcinski Kelly Rooke

I think Stokes will get off the charge, on replay it is obvious there was no contact to the head, the West Coast player milked it for all it was worth. Similarly so did Stokes to get the free reversed.

Taylor is really unlucky, however we don't need another tall to cover Adelaide. Though against the Saints might be a different proposition.

Prismall has shown twice in recent games that he is a goal kicker. Therefore either Chappy or he can be pushed up onto the HF line, if we need another crumber (i.e. Chappy far better on the ground than Pris).

I think we need to select the team on merit, like recent form. Kelly, Wojak, haven't played. Similarly Byrnes and Varcoe haven't really impressed. Mackie needs to play, and can play tall.

It is a difficult selection round this week.

his biggest problem is his ordinary disposal, but he seems to have improved that alot in the last month or so

Who? Prismall?

Hate to inform you that Pris has one of the best efficiency ratings at the club. I have no idea where this statement comes from. All stat agencies have him at about 85-90% efficiency, for all games this year.

you are on the money
with prissa out for taylor when and if we play the dawks, when an extra tall is needed
against the dogs this is also the likely team

My guess is that the club would like to make as few changes as possible between the qualifying final and the grand final should we make it that far. Bringing in Taylor for a prelim and dropping him for the granny or similar is not what they'd be looking for IMO. It's certainly a tough gig, and I'm looking forward to Thursday night when we find out.
