As much as the Yellow card deters players from making illegal tackles on opponents, it also hinders a player from playing to their full potential.
Thats what i noticed in the AUS vs BRA game, Tim Cahill, with a yellow card next to his name already, played like someone who was scared to engage in a contest, like something held him back, obviously the card and the thought of getting another one and missing a game.
Is the yellow card that necessary, i mean some of the tackles are not that dangerous and the "victim" plays it well by diving to create a better effect.
The problem imo is that if u get a yellow card again in the next game, ur out for one match, i mean this sort of rule impedes players from playing to their full potential and vigour, they can keep the yellow card in the game but the rule where u get suspended for one game if u get one again in the next game is just absurd imo.
