Problem with the Xbox 360.

My Xbox is continuously freezing, making a loudish sound, then like pink lines all over the screen.
This happens everytime i try to play my 360. (starting late yesterday)
Is this a bad thing?

And if i got my xbox in August 2007 would i be entitled to warranty?

Sounds like either the prelude to the RROD or E74.

okay.
just called them,
would there be any chance of it being an error other than rrod?
cuz i'm only under rrod warranty.
It's been freezing, and rroding and pink screening me

When I had to e74 error I just went down the post office,bought a box and then they filled it up with those plastic bag with air in them for nothing so it wouldn't move.
Was back in a week.

Thank god also that I get refunded now for paying to get it repaired last year.

They should have walked you through a few basic checks and fixes over the phone to see if the problem was related to anything else.

I just wrapped mine in bubble wrap and put a few small pieces of polystyrene under and on top of it inside the box. Got it back in about 6 or 7 working days along with a months free subscription to xbox live.

I rate it as a one of the best things to ever happen to me.
