hey ive connected my ps3 via wireless connection and i was wondering if cable is better or if u can give me any tips to have a better connection to the ps3 because lately ive got lagging issues.
can u just connect to Aussie servers or host.
help appreciated.

A wired connection will always give better performance than a wireless one.

As for lag issues, from what I've heard that's standard with the PSN.

Lag isn't because of the PSN, if you didn't know in comparison to the world Australia has one of the slowest internet speeds, this relates to being slow in the online community on consoles, have you tried playing against a bunch of Americans on the XBL, how was it?

Resistance is a game that allows you to play on Australian servers, although that game rarely lags anyway.

What you want to do is manage to find a game with good PING(Good speeds in relation to yours), if the game doesn't show you a PING then you want to try playing starting a game with your Aussie friends, that way you will get little to no lag.

Once HOME roles around there will be alot easier options to play games with your friends and people will start sharing less laggy games.

Also Wired is always better than Wireless, Wireless will make the lag even worse if it is in an online game too.

Cannot connect to my Ps3, i plug in the ethernet? cable from my cable modem and it says its been timed out and cannot find a IP address?

Can anyone help? I don't know if there is some blocking going on from my modem because my mate does the excact same thing but his works?

Is there anyone i can contact to solve this problem?

Help would be greatly needed

wired is always going to be faster....and very little games that i've encountered let you choose your own servers etc....

UT3 (unreal tournament 3) you can choose to host and pick low ping servers etc.....
i wish more ps3 games had this option.

but i'm guessing the lag for you is due to being put in an american or euro server and not because you have it connected wirelessly....

that's very odd......might be something in your internet settings??
sorry can't be more help...i'm not as tech savvy as most on here
