PS3 network help

Hi,

I recently got a new modem/router through bigpong and have had a shite of a time setting my network back up. I've managed to get it to see and share with my old PC but it won't share with my PS3 (can get internet but not files off the PC).
I found some settings tonight on the modem/router that show the PS3 connected but says it's ip address is 0.0.0.0, on the network settings of the PS3 the ip address is completely different 169.???.???.?? Is this where my problem is and how do I fix it?

What's ip range of your network?

Should tell you on the router. 0.0.0.0 means it's not connected.

OK they now have matching ip addresses but I still can't get the PS3 to detect that it's connected to the PC, any thoughts?
