Ah, back in the days of chico rolls and surf. Greeting people with "Getting heaps?" and the worst insult was "Shut your face you stupid mole!".

By memory, there is a great line in PB about someone being "a slack-arsed mole". Pure poetry, that. Still can't hold a candle to FJ Holden though.

I'm proud to have an ex-rental of Puberty Blues among my aussie/kiwi flick collection. Didn't know it was on TV at the moment, though.

Jad Capelja (one of the two main actors) went on to star in another film, a road movie called 'Freedom' with Jon Blake.

But I agree with Rusty, FJ Holden has possibly even better dialogue, for instance something along the lines of 'I'll root all of yer, just leave him alone'.

But, back to Puberty Blues, it also reminds me of a song that I basically call my personal anthem : "Nobody takes me seriously anyway".
