I’ve been critical of the Ooze a lot last year for his constant “happy with the effort” presser line but this time, I have to agree - bloody awesome effort from everyone, especially the kids. They had no expectations except a likely flogging but played, dare I say it, a Richmond style of game. To come back from 40+ with so much talent gone and an average age of guys barely able to vote and drink says a lot.

Now I’m not drinking the coolaid and saying we are finals bound but if this is the first brick of the rebuild, I’m excited to see what the finished product looked like. The first year kids played really well but let’s all take a deep breath and see how it goes, as it’s early days.

Or perhaps just say F a r k it! Any win over those bluescum spooners is delicious!
