I was just driving to work this morning and the guy on the radio gave the TV schedule for this weekend's games. About a kilometre later it actually sunk in it that footy starts tonight! No tomorrow or in a few weeks but real footy, OK with some flaky rules and 9 umprires but its on...now....tonight!

No more waiting! I made a pact with the missus that she owned all remotes from 1 November until tonight. After that they are mine..alll mine and the lounge will be surround sounded with the glorious tones of body on body and pigskin on leather! No more 127cm flat screen fulla crap like CSI, Charmed, Medium, NCIS, Australin Idol! No more E News, W channel, Fox8, and being frigging Showtimed to death! All I need now is enough by product shows to fill in the gap between Monday and Thursday. Hopefully the footy Gods will have all the WLF, On the Couch, Grumpy Old Men or equivalents in the making on some channel somewhere too! OK maybe leave a few spaces in the week for the nuptials but thats all!

Maybe now do you think BF will change too to be more focussed on fact and actuals and whats even really happening on the field rather than the speculative nonsense we have all endured over the past 4-5 months? Do you think we can try posting stuff about the real footy rather than the would be Wallaces and Millers doing our drafting , trading and pre-season? No more cheap abuse and idle banter about who is shagging who and who aint paying!

Heaven forbid we maybe even get some unified support,optimism and quality comment and opinion here.....nah surely not...too much to ask!

Bring it on and go the mighty Tiges!
 
LMAO TT. My missus and your missus must be from the same pod. I've had to endure all those shows and with the kids hijacking the TV for Nickelodeon etc, it's been a long summer.
 
I spent the last three days with my Missus, I made a pact with her that I would spend all the time with her she wanted between the Cricket and Footy Season.

God bless the Cricket being close to a yearly sport these days.:)

Simply climb on her back, jam it in her Germaine, and scream out "Riiiiiichoooooooo!" at the point you find the most romantic (you know what I mean ;) ).

If that doesn't turn her into a Richmond diehard, at least it will keep her in the kitchen.

My missus is just lucky she is away at a conference or her freckle would also be ringing to the sounds of "Richo"! Teach her to put crap on my Tiger skin! lmao. Harv is an inspiration to us all. No doubt a wimp in front of Mrs Harv like the rest of us...but lets not spoil a good story with the truth! hahhaa
 
I tried to get my Collingwood supporting wife to barrack for the Tiges, but the plan backfired very early in our relationship.
When you first meet, well you know in the first few months you sorta go at it (to use a cliché) hammer & tongs? Well I insisted one particular occassion that she wear my RFC guernsey complete with Matthew Knights' number on the back.
During this particular session we were engaged what we will call 'canine style' and let's just say that for a few minutes afterwards, Knighter's number suddenly went from 33 to 313 if you know what I mean.
Needless to say the concept of her supporting the Tigers flew out the window. :o

it has been an exceptionally long off season with an exceptional amount of crap thrown around. lets hope we advance to next week in darwin because if we dont it might be a long month before the real stuff starts.

gee my family did it hard in cairo. sitting around the computer listening to the net with a mango juice and coffee nearby. now i can have coopers have a bbq and have a few mates around.

Hear, hear...footy's back. After reading that Carlton played Essendon on Saturday, I screamed with delight when I saw that the Tiges would be lining up against the Cats on Sunday, today, so soon!!! Woooot!

Good to see you all again, hopefully I'll have more to say this season!
