It says in the article? $400k outstanding

The club will likely just borrow that if needed but even if not then it’s not the case the build will pause

It’ll be that they’ve lined up areas of the fit out that would remain cold shell if they don’t find the money

Cheers, i must have skimmed over it and missed that, mind you i was at work so got distracted. :tearsofjoy:

400k is nothing really when looking at a project that is costing us $110 million.

Yeah just tell the builder to shave their margin and give them more exposure on the website with a video per week

That's not really what the article says.
They are aiming to raise $1m via the Australian Sports Foundation and have raised $600k from that so far
It doesn't specify what the overall shortfall is though, I assume it's why the project is broken up into phases

It was the right decision to push ahead with the redevelopment. Whilst I want to preserve our history, the old Jack Dyer stand wasn’t fit for purpose anymore and wasn’t being used enough.

Whether it was a decision made by the club to mothball it to justify the demolition, it was still a large parcel of land being under utilised.

A key to the success of this new development, is that it offers an independent revenue stream that provides additional income for the club. I know that this statement is going to rub people up the wrong way, but sadly it’s all about the dollars.
 
if that was any other club the state gov wouldve given the remainder

they see that we are so close to the g, they see that we own alligned leisure... and they say good luck , you can do it yaselves

State Govt and AFL gave dollars to Norf for Arden St. Norf get propped up by our money every year. Campaigners wouldn't exist if they had to pay their own way like us.

not just norf, but aints , dees and dogs too

they will all be gone overnight as without afl and Richmond plus other big club equalisation dollars theyre completely unsustainable

we got $20 mill from state govt.

Jacinta approves teams each Thursday. She thought the Balta bashing was a bad example to the kiddies.
