Gents,

I need some assistance. I know that a few of you on here have been to watch the NBA. I have dreamed of this since childhood and finally next year I will be going to the States for a holiday. I am planning to go around April and I'm hoping to get tickets to a Knicks game at MSG. Only because I will be in NY at the time.

Can anyone give me some advice on purchasing the tickets? I was looking on the US ticketmaster site and found tickets but you can't purchase them yet. Obviously I don't want to plan my holiday around getting tickets for a game and then miss out. So looking for some advice on the best way to go about it.

Cheers

Get stub hub and for a piece of mind - look to get the electronic tickets so you can just print them out, instead of waiting for the mail. Had issues with the company fedexing a ticket to me when i was in the states.

Stubhub seems to be the go, I've been looking at tickets for March. As ExTasDeeMan said I'm gonna go with electronic tickets because I don't know exactly where I'll be when they send the tickets.

What time in April? Be wary of the playoffs.

Thanks everyone who posted.

Mid April. Hopefully can attend the last home game.

As everyone has said StubHub is the way to go. Would also say that if it has been a lifelong dream get good tickets, you never know if it will be the only NBA game you ever go to.

Just had my Christmas Day Miami game and Brooklyn tickets sent to me electronically, Stubhub is definitely the best way to go about it!

You may get to the game and find tickets are cheaper but at least you have price of mind buying them in advance

Purchasing the tickets on the weekend.

800 for 2 tickets in decent seats but it's probably going to be the only ever NBA game I attend so it's worth it for this life long dream!

Nice one mate! Enjoy! I spent a lot on the Cavs v Hawks when I was in Cleveland, loved every minute and was lucky enough to meet and get a photo with Joe Johnson! Love the NBA.

Well my tickets come and I'm officially the happiest man alive this morning.

2 x tickets at MSG. Knicks vs Hawks. Can't wait!

Just have to survive the plan trip there! (Fear of flying)!!!

Go to the team website first and check if theres still tickets for whatever games you plan to attend before going off to stubhub. it will almost always be cheaper to get them through the inital agency than through stubhub.
