Carlton are shit .
McIntosh was BOG round 1 2015 never fired a shot since.
Lambert was BOG round 1 2016 never fired a shot since.
Martin BOG in round 1 2017 after being a mile in front of most.

Great game but lets not get carried away by a round 1 game against a shit side.

NO FANCY BLUE AND RED DOTS NEEDED.

Well ... there are a fair few people who have more touches OR more goals than Dusty ... but, to see games that have more touches AND more goals you've got to keep tracking towards the top right of the graph and if you look above and to the right of Dusty there actually aren't very many dots at all. And if you add the couple of goals that he gave away Dusty's game would be getting pretty close to outlyer territory itself (taking both metrics together).

There is no reason I can see to play down the impressiveness of this game. Top shelf.

Edit: and that is just the stats which don't take into account half the great things about the way he played.

Shit! That's all folks.
Pack up your scarves and caps, fold the polo shirts neatly in the draw and we'll all join the local bowls clubs.
Apparently there is nothing to get excited about following Richmond anymore. :(

I'd be interested to see those numbers narrowed down to round one games only. With a lot more to consider I would have thought it tougher to perform that well in round one vs, say, round 10? Generally a players aerobic fitness peaks later on in the year.

there's not a significant difference in the average disposals per game in R1 compared to later rounds

Should really count it as 6 goals and 33 possessions, those two goals he just gifted away and really could have had himself. If that is not an impressive game (from a guy who has a track record of great games and game winning games) then I don't know what is. He is a beast. Period.

AND... the kind of player that takes a finals team to a premiership team. There. I said it.

Ok. Can we get carried away by his average of 33 touches over the past 18 games? In that time he has only recorded under 28 touches once.

The Tattooed One has done it before.

33 disps (26 kicks 7 hballs), 7 marks and 4 goals in Rd 5 9-pt win over North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium (24 Apr 2011)

He also had a night out against the Lions in 2011 (5 goals) with a game similar to last night...sans tatts and 80 metre torp.

I was staggered GWS let him walk out of the building that time, when I would have hand cuffed him to the nearest immovable object and bought Carr a gold plated hair rug to get him to sign.

I fear we may never re-sign him for unders ever again, and have to let go players like your Lloyds, your Hunts, and your Astburys to squeeze the lad into the salary cap.
