From what ive read on these forums McEntee appears the 2nd best or best ruck prospect(ie ryder possibly too small) and some posters here seem to rate him very highly. It is also appears generally predicted that the top 5 will be some combination of murphy, ellis, kennedy, ryder, hurn thereabouts leading the hawks with a choice of swallow/clarke etc for pick 6. Swallow and Clarke appear to have some risks and the hawks are desperately in need of a quality long-term ruck prospect.

To those in the know is there any chance the hawks will take a punt with McEntee at 6 ala the bulldogs with Tom Williams last year?

His athletic results appear outstanding - 2.91sec for 20m make him the 3rd fastest looking at draft camp results (ie even quicker than swallow). And he has showed strong SANFL reserves form from reports. Going on these results he may not be around at 14 for the hawks so is there any chance the hawks may take a punt? Am I way off track? if so who do u reckon will go at 6 who may provide better value?

Pelchen came out and said they'd take best available, which probably isn't McEntee. Also, considering we didn't take Meesen at 7 last year, I doubt we'll take a ruckman early again.

We'll probably use the rookie list for a ruckman IMO.

he's not big enough for the ruck, I think he'll end up being a tall defender.
