So I have an analogue TV with a HD digital box, and am looking to get a HD PVR so I can record programs. Any ideas on which PVR's are good for watching a progam live whilst recording a different program at the same time? I know that some of them only allow you to watch or record at the same time rather than do both.

Any advice on cheapest/low end up to most expensive/high end would be good. Basically looking to record TV programs and sports (up to 4 or 5 hours at a time), watch them after a few days and then delete them from the drive, so disk space isn't a massive issue.

Thanks.

Any that mention "Dual Tuners" will allow you to watch & record separate channels.
I know Dick Smith have one with a 500GB hard drive for about $300. We have one at my work (Jaycar) but its ridiculously overpriced, so sending people to the competition might lead to it being priced more competitively in the future.

Have had a T-Box for the last month and they're really good; have the nicest looking program guide out there and recording stuff is a breeze - the best thing is season pass which records all shows in a season automatically and even alters the recording time for you if the show changes nights.

Also comes with a few extra internet channels, the BigPond Movies service and YouTube although they're really only convienent if you are with BigPond or you have an unlimited plan because watching those internet channels for about an hour and a half can take up 2GB.

Hope this helped, wanna know any more just ask.
