I think there are a few boys on this site that wouldnt know if a bus was up their backside reading through a lot of the comments. I predict a lot of big improvers in this comp and wouldnt be surprised if only one team from last year made finals this season, thats how much the playing rosters have changed at various clubs.

Look forward to round 1 and see who has bragging rights!

Week away from season starting and still whispers about the buffs and whether they can field two teams...would be very ordinary if a forfeit first round in the magoo's....

I think more the well coached factor .
Good call, the Roosters won the flag last year, kept their list together, added a few, makes for a familiar environment unlike most other clubs who have had significant player changes. Roosters will certainly have a advantage early on. They will need to have a dream run with injuries, depth a worry

Seems to have made so much sense looking back now. That ship has well and truly sailed though.
Made complete sense, your right in saying the ship has sailed, it's just a shame that the ego of a few seems to have been to the detriment of an entire club!

Merging of two clubs hard with both clubs wanting to keep club history etc......is it better to drop a division and start a rebuild....always a hard call.
If they do drop a division it needs to happen before the season starts, otherwise its a bit of a joke

Considering the Cobras history carried over and the buffs was to be carried over as well, when u consider the fact that a lot of the buffs players and a fair few of their committee went across to the suns anyway it really seems silly for the to be struggling at this point. As I said seems to be the ego of a few that have caused this. Only explanation I can think of as it looks as though most have merged without actually combining the clubs leaving the buffs in the situation they are now

We can all look smart with the benefit of hindsight, but every club wants to keep their own identity. Let's not forget that the Buffs have played in 8 of the last 9 finals series for a flag in 09 and a gf appearance the year before last. They have a good new president and a terrific coach with a great track record and although they may still struggle on field for a while longer, I'm sure they're heading in the right direction. I'm sure come rd 1 they'll be able to field 2 teams somehow!
