ok, so im pretty sure im using the new iTunes version... it has the Grid view where u can use artwork for "Artist" and "Album"

what im stumped on, is how do you have a different artwork picture for the "artist" grid from the albums... right now i can only use my album cover artworks for Artist artworks... and when i change the artist artworks, the album artwork changes:confused:

yeh i know it sounds confusing, but if anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated.. its really buggin me:)

I think the picture used for the artist is the first album alphabetically from the artist. If you move your cursor from left to right over the artist square, the album will change, but will not stay like that.

Probably to change it, you will need to make sure the album artwork you want as the artist artwork is first alphabetically, which would probably mean you have to change the album name

nah, u dont need to change the album name... when u move the cursor left or right, the artist artwork will change as u said, but then u can choose which "album artwork" u want as the "artist artwork" by right-clicking, and selecting "Set Default Grid Artwork", then it will stay like that.

but i wanted to know if u can use a normal picture of the artist for an "artist artwork".. E.g. i want to use a normal picture of 50 Cent for his artist artwork, then when u double-click on his grid, u get all his albums with the correct album artworks... u feelin me?

do u have an iTunes Store account, or does anyone here?... coz when i select "Get Album Artwork" it says u need an account, but i just use my own album cover pics... does that have something to do with it? and is it free if i get the album artwork using iTunes, even though i dont download any music?

Thanks for that. Yeah I understand where your going...wouldn't have a clue how to do it though.

iTunes account is free...and getting album artwork is free. When you click Get Album Artwork, it just searched the iTunes store for the album and downloads the artwork for you. I have a mix of manual and auto artwork. I dno why it would need an account to search for it though
