Hi guys. I'm teaching a class in a week about advertisements, in particular, poster ads. I need 10-15 more photos of poster ads or ones people have designed to show my class. I don't have anything to offer so I understand if you don't want to participate. Thanks anyway
What exactly are you after? Billboards, movie posters?

... or this?

Just saw this tweet on twitter with the photo dating back to around the year 2000. I noticed that the AFL logo appears to be a patch over the old logo. Did St.Kilda ever wear these in a game?

That's really cool! The short answer is no, however.

The Saints had new jumpers made up in time for their first Ansett Cup game in 2000 against Melbourne.

But alas, there has been (at least) one instance where a club has worn sewn-on logos in the 'modern era'.

A number of Richmond players wore older guernseys in the opening few rounds of the 2000 season which had the new AFL logo laughably enlarged and sewn over the top. This was worn for certainly at least the first two months of the season by I'd say maybe a dozen players.

So tacky ^_^

I've wanted to know what was up with the GF jumpers that had the logo heat pressed onto them, there's a picture of Hayes(?) that has the GF logo peeling off but the AFL logo underneath in just an oval without the letters.

I own one of those! I wore it to the footy from about 2001/2 to 2010.

It's actually the modern AFL logo sewn over the VFL logo. We had our own standalone VFL team in 2000, so my assumption is that after the VFL season, they just sewed on the patches to be used at training (would look pretty silly having the team running around in VFL jumpers). That photo is definitely from after the 2000 season, given that Kosi, Hamill, and Blight are in it. The club sold them off cheap at a family day which is where I got mine.

FWIW, the Pura Milk logos, front and back, are sewn on but not over anything, but the St Kilda logo is sublimated.

When the AFL had their 150th year celebrations in 2008(?) they also released some blank templates for hand-drawing guernseys. I remember getting a bunch of them in school when we had a footy day. First off, does anybody else remember them at all, and does anybody know if it's possible to find them anywhere on the internet? It'd be cool to look at and I wouldn't mind even printing a few off.

Speaking of hand drawn jumpers from days gone by, have a look what I found.

I think I made this when I was 12 or so.

If you look to the left of the picture you can just see a clear Pump water lid.
This guy is out of control.

First of all, he is unable to make a solid commitment to one brand of water, switching allegiances between Pump and Mt Franklin. Can you say turncoat?

And then leaves his lids everywhere! He's basically entering hoarding territory.
