Sabre you continually tell us on these boards that he is a dud. You have come to this conclusion based on the fact that he is yet to make his debut for West Coast. He is a player that has had many injuries, which has stilted his progression. He has been playing well in the WAFL over recent weeks, and hopefully will play for West Coast at some stage this year. As with most "talls" they take longer to develop compared to midfielders.

McDougall was a standout as a junior, if he can withstand his injuries he could develop into a very good player. It is also possible that he wont, but it is to early to be writing him off, that is ridiculous.

The reason I bring this up is because you keep on saying that McPaharlin will be a star. He is a player with ability yes, but he is also a player that has suffered many injuries, much like McDougall. He is yet to command a starting position (due to his injury) so I fail to see how he can be considered a "star", while McDougall is a dud. You can argue that Hawthorn supporters think he is going to be a star, but that means nothing in the scheme of things. Lots of players were going to be "stars", but never were.

In my opinion both players are at the same stage in their careers. Would you not agree?

I never said he was a Dud I said he had commitment issues and will probally never play AFL.
McPharlin on the other hand has played AFL.

So far he is a long way ahead of McDougal

Ahhh so when you said:
McDougal will prove to be the biggest waste of a top 5 pick so far and I dare say for the next 5 years. This kids is battling to get a game in the wafl, let alone break into the weakest side in the afl.
you weren't implying he was a dud? Just a tad underdone perhaps? No, I think not...

With a forward line second only behind the crows in lack of firepower.
Hehehehe, I'm still laughing at this next bit :)
