If a company associated with the NRL club a player plays for pays him for being the face of their company is this considered part of the salary cap?

Sure if the company has nothing to do with the club then it wouldnt be, because the player would have the same opportunity for that income at any other club, but what if it was a roosters player getting paid by Samsung?

The correct answer is yes & no, because it depends.

If it occurs during contractual negotiations, it counts.

If it occurs outside of those negotiation and the player secures it on their own, I dont think it counts.

I could be wrong.

No doubt, somebody can explain it properly.

How else would the roosters team survive at its current line up. Watching the game between the tigers and roosters, its just ridiculous how huge their line up is. Its not that the tigers are that bad but its like they are playing a state of origin side.

Everyone says they are over the salary cap. That means they must be bigger than the NRL itself. Care to explain littleduck?

Nobody likes the Roosters.

They are currently leading in all 3 grades, largely because they grift all the talent away from opposition sides! (Jamie Soward is a fine example. Premiership winning Raiders S.G ball captain last year, Jersey Flegg Captain at the Roosters...).

The Roosters simply fail to develop any talent whatsoever. Their competition is incorporated into Souths Juniors and they foot the bills.

Oasis was partially owned by the Leagues club. Personally, I think the Bulldogs should move on and be happy that they didn't get liquidated like the local council...
