Question regarding my laptop

I usually leave my laptop running during the day at the moment because i'm recovering at home after surgery and it takes away the boredom, then I hibernate it at night.

Last couple of days I move out of my room for a while, come back and the mofo has turned itself off.

I know someone will know what's going on.

Just checked the settings, and it's on laptop setting where it is never meant to shut down.

I'm stumped, but i'm not that great with computers.

Are you able to turn it back on straight away? Could be something wrong with the power adapter?

Also it could be overheating? Because laptops turn themselves off if it reaches a certain temp threshold.

Not set to hibernate or sleep after a certain period? Stop hard drives?
