.....Yes, to the strengthening our defence aspect of your question. Strong, committed and bite-the-bullet desperation, "by the defence in the dying moments", have saved the last 2 premierships for the victors. But despite me not denying the obvious benefits of a proven injection (ala Danny Jacobs already),...............if our back 6 remain stable, and they mature into a cohesive unit, who know by 2nd nature, each others' game inside out, .....HELLO..............this is so tried and true, therein lies the secret grasshopper..............can you polish my car, and/or paint my paling fence ?Roddy said:Does our success, or otherwise, depend upon us strengthening our defence, and more specifically, finding/developing a FB????
After getting our forward line in reasonable shape, its time to focus on the backline. I'd hope we can at least recruit one KP back in the draft or PSD this draft period.
medusala said:Disagree entirely. Look at Dunstall and Lockett when they played for very average teams. Its harder to kick goals than defend them. Its as simple as that.
A coach (cant recall who) said a few years ago something along the lines of that having a great defence is all well and good but if you cant score more than 70 points you arent going to win many games.
