questions over scoring...

basic SC scoring system:

Effective kick 4 Points
Ineffective kick 0 Points
Clanger kick -8 Points
Handball effective 2 Points
Ineffective handball 0 Points
Handball clanger -6 Points
Handball receive 1 Point
Hardball get 4 Points
Loose-ball get 4 Points
Goal 8 Points
Behind 1 Point
Mark uncontested (maintaining possession) 1 Point
Mark contested (maintaining possession) 6 Points
Mark uncontested (from opposition) 4 Points
Mark contested (from opposition) 8 Points
Tackles 4 Points
Free kick for 4 Points
Free kick against -6 Points
Hitout to Advantage 3 Points

points get adjusted after the match, blah blah blah...

my questions are:
what defines an effective kick? (if you kick a scrubber along the ground but it ends up with a team mate, is that effective? if you gather the contested ball deep in defense and throw it onto the boot, clearing the defensive 50 but running out of bounds or along the ground to an opponent, is that effective?)
why score points for handball receives but not kick receives?
i thought points were awarded for inside 50's and rebound 50's? thats a pretty crucial stat to not award points for...
champion data also states that they will no award points for kicks that travel less than 40m's to a contest? what if your player marks the ball?
marks are awarded the same all over the ground? no extra points for taking marks in defensive or forward 50?

hmmm, i had some other questions too, but cant remember right now...

I have always watched scores vs performance for many years and I think this year is more flawed than previous years.

Look at Leigh Brown today with a SC score of 63 and he had 5 FA

WTF!

I know the data collectors look at many, many stats/pressure etc but many of the scores this years just do not match a players influence over the game.
