Quick Loan

Ok lads i'm not in an ideal situation. I've just lodged my tax which will result in a nice refund. Trouble is i was banking on using some of the funds to go on our footy trip next weekend. It seems i won't get my funds back in time.

My question what would be the simplest, quickest and/or cheapest way to say get a $1000 short term loan that i would be able to repay within a month?

Any help would be great cheers

Yep, if need be, call the bank and increase your limit by a thousand dollars if you are already or close to maxed out.

If you play it smart, find a bank that has a low rate credit card on an introductory rate of around 3% on purchases for the first 6 months. That way you can spend up without worrying about truckloads of interest when the trips over, pay back within a reasonable time.
Your problem may be though, credit cards usually take 5 - 7 days to come in the mail. My suggestion, get in to a bank first thing Monday morning and apply. That way you'll most likely have it by Friday.
As far as increasing the limit goes, almost the same process as applying for the card in the first place. Can be a plain in the arse for the customer as a credit decision still has to be run.

Don't go on the footy trip, there will be another next year, other than that see a loan shark, or do what one of my ex coaches tried and say you left your wallet behind and get everyone to chip in 50 bucks each, be creative.

surely you have family or a mate that can front you $1k or 2 x $500, it's really not much money. especially when you know you're getting a tax return within a week or so.

let them hold your golf clubs or something until you pay them back.
