Embedded tweets aren't working at all for me.

What you using mate Chrome? Firefox?
PC or Android/iPhone?

If it's an internet browser on a PC you can refresh the browser. Not hit F5 but refresh the whole browser.
Firefox has this feature and it worked for me.

File uploads are fine on the app as far as I know. It does throw a message complaining that we don't host our images with Tapatalk. That's just more Tapatalk grabby grabby stuff.

Conversations are private, but all files uploaded are visible if you know the URL. So we removed the file upload button for convos to make sure people don't upload something they might want to keep confidential.

Bingo. This is the problem old mate is having. No problems on any of the boards just with in convos.

Also a host creates a URL anyway, it's just an extra step in getting an image into a convo when using the phone/app.
The techtards don't like third party image hosts, that's all.

It would be my setting then.

Again, it’s to stop people accidentally uploading private files when they can be viewed on our server by anyone.

Any chance of getting the ability to turn page backgrounds off? Even better if we could turn specific ones off? EG. I like the Video games one but can't even look at a page that has the Hawks or Bay backgrounds.

I don’t have any plans to do that.

Mainly they are just so ugly and don't fit in with the rest of the site. The tetris one on the Video Games board for example is fine, its a darker them that blends well, but the white of the bay and and yellow and brown of the hawks stands out like a dogs balls and is quite distracting. I don't spend much (if any) time on those boards so its not a real bother, just something I thought i'd ask.

As I said, I don't frequent the boards enough for it to be something that drives me nuts, just figured as they get more popular and more boards start having them it would be nice to be able to toggle them on or off. If worse comes to worse I can just block it client side.

Attachments in PMs are not private - anyone who knows or guesses the URL can see them.

So we removed that ability to avoid issues with people thinking their image is private when it is not.

I may just allow the feature but put a warning up.

Hi, sorry this is totally off topic, but has been bugging me for awhile now.

I'm using Android BF app and whenever I come across a post with embedded videos, this is all I see, and clicking on the links does nothing.

If I open in browser, it's fine, but that's a pain to do regularly.
