One of the biggest successes (apart from publicly embarrassing the Collywobbles on-feild:p ) for me has been the move to the backline for Lynch. He has really given me some hope that now I want him to play a Key postion down there. Lat year I heard a few suggestions saying he's good down back and I thought, this blokes a forward, I don't thinks so and I was prooved wrong.

Good on you Lynchy you saved your career

If they did that more often he'd probably already be our CHB.

Interesting that in 2002 when he was left in the one position he played reasonably well. 1 game at CHF for a return of 5 goals 4 points is pretty good from 9 kicks.

I would give him a game forward next week to see how he goes. It would also be interesting to see how he goes against Carey.

If The Mighty Q can keep up this level in the H&A season at CHB, I'll be looking for a Mead-style Andrew Embley recant from Vicki. Up the Garlic Munchers!

And you will get it :) I have been impressed with him in the preseason - but there is a LONG way to go.

I've already done my part, by writing him off after the second intraclub..

As was the case last week, Lynch struggled. This time he spent most of his time in defence, but frequently looked confused, lost or just downright disinterested. His physical pressure is good (although it'd be a lot better if he was doing it to opposition players), but he just doesn't seem to have any ability to read the play. Frankly, on the basis of what we've seen this last fortnight, I struggle to see him fitting into our team this year.

Now, if the footy gods behave as per usual when it comes to my wrongheaded predictions, he'll be an AA CHB by the end of the year. Balls in your court, Big Quentin.

defeintaly been the biggest success of the pre season as we're in need of at all player to stand up down in the backline this season. And it looks as if he's goin to get the first crack.

From what we have seen of Lynch in the 2 Gee Whizz cup games and the games he played in full in 2002 you begin to wonder why we didn't see him at all in 2003.

What was Woosha trying to do?

It seems that Lynch has been transformed from a forward to a back over the last 12 months. Whether this is succesful only time will tell but if Lynch shows the same desire he has over the last 2 games we might have a CHB.

This year should be known as the Year of the Spine, and should go some way to answering a lot of questions. If our spine hasn't developed by the end of the year then maybe we need to look at who we can trade to get ourselves some quality Key Position Players.

Personally I think the players we have will take the next step and we will move forward.

Yeh i was at the game friday night and Lynch seemed to hold up well against Jeff White. Booming kick and boy can he get some momentum up when he runs. Looking forward to seeing him play alongside Glass and Collica! Our backline might have a future without Milli and Jacko!

And they're big ones too I'll bet. Can't work out why we persisted with Jako on Neitz - I would have thought Q would have been a much better match-up
