Smashed in clearances too.

Finally managed to start some decent link up plays, transitioning the ball in the last 10 minutes. That has been the turnaround.

Need to sort out the stoppages, or we're in trouble.

It's common sense reading the wind. If the wind is in your face the ball will most likely come over the back. Especially when wet. They had a seagull out the back mopping up throughout that last quarter.

I thought that's what Smith was trying at the end when Brisbane were all way closer than they legally could to be. He was ushering everyone to the right and we had a few guys boundary side on the left and I thought it was a master stroke fake out.

Helps if experienced players think through the situation better. Ball falls to ANB - who should have worn a tackle and got a ball up, tries a dinky kick forward and Brisbane get it and push straight back inside 50. A couple of similar opps (one with Dawson) as well

Consider that the square up for the supposed goal. Umpire told him repeatedly to move back, then got sick of it and called play on. There was no way he was as far back as he needed to be.

Well, brisbane shat the bed in the last 10.

How they didn't kick 5 goals in that period is unbelievable.

I guess, we were equally as uncomposed trying to get even a single possession on the wing.

I remember saying last year we were there and thereabouts. First we’d start winning. Then we’d start winning the close ones. Then we’d win from behind. Next we’ll win against a contender away from home. We are there and thereabouts.
