@grok, why did the Adelaide Crows' rebuild fail so dismally?
He did very well in the pre season, I’m glad that was pointed out…. **** me

Plus Dawson can always spend time behind the ball if they need another calm head. As can Cummings. We don't need experience in defense
We have a 31 year old 250 game player already there, and a 27 year old 100 game former leadership group member, who have both been part of our system for a decade
That is not a dire level of experience that would require us to recall a cooked turnover merchant in place of a promising junior

Referencing a preseason game as a reason to bring him in...???
He's got a bright future that Brodie Smith.
I don't want to come across as rational in any way, but there is a chance that the mentioning of Murphy & Smith is the good old club imperative of 'looking after the senior player ego's'.
Peatling and Draper should be getting more midfield time with Crouch out. Bring Dowling in to take Drapers spot on the half forward line with Draper moving into the middle.Berry is 100% going to come in and take Crouch's spot.
Is Charlie Edwards this years Billy Dowling ??
He's not ready yet, only to appear 6 weeks later when the season is done.
Apologies for the intrusion, but as a Blues supporters, with Silvagni out its ripe for exploitation by your three 3 headed monsters in Thilthorpe, Fox and Tex. At least one of them should get off the leash, as Weitering aside, that leaves Haynes (was v good last week but jury out on whether that form continues) and Gov (absolute liability for 1:1 role).
Also, Keays feasts on the blues (9 goals in the past 3 games) and the Blues are the Crows' bunny when playing in Adelaide - we seem do well against Port in SA but can't do jack$hit against the Crows.
Anyway, hoping for a good game and best of luck.
You might be right. The Club has shown its hand. It's determined to prop up their failing choice for that absurd 2-year extension.I'm fully expecting him to be at the club next year. Injury excuses are already being prepared
If any one of those three are brought back it'll be hotter'n'Hell in here around 6p.m. ACST.We might even get a scenario where smith murphy and borlase come in this week. Fun times
The incompetent coach we have reckons he, along with a number of other players "have things to work on".Where is Billy Dowling at the moment?
I thought he showed quite a bit of promise when he played and can find the goals.
He needs to work on not getting in Lachlan Murphy's way in games so Lachie can get more of the ball and be more ready for AFL.The incompetent coach we have reckons he, along with a number of other players "have things to work on".
Hard to get into the 5th best teamBilly Dowling is this year's Billy Dowling.
Extremely harsh on ANB, hasn't done a great deal wrong.Couple of the senior boys are gonna want to have a good game this week IMO.
Interesting that for me the resident whipping boy Laird is not on this list, I've actually been pretty impressed with him most the season.
- Thought ANB played pretty poorly against the Dockers, and by in large hasn't brought as much to the table as he was sold as being able to bring. Keays is regularly outplaying him in a similar role.
- Tex ended up with 2 goals last week in junk time, but was a total non factor for most of the game (after I spent a week pumping up his 300/700 chances).
- Dawson's decision making and kicking need a swift jolt in the right direction.
- ROB, if you look at his stats he's eerily close to his career averages. But he's so far removed from his Gold Jacket form now. I wouldn't say he's cracked the top 15 players for our team in a single game this year. And been battling for worst on ground more than once.
MileraWhats happening to Bond, Hugh Bond? Felt he performed well late last year and many were talking him up for a place in the team at the beginning of the season.
Has Milera been performing that well. I will pay more attention to his game this weekend but so far when I watch the games he just doesnt standout as doing to much.Milera
In short, no he hasn'tHas Milera been performing that well. I will pay more attention to his game this weekend but so far when I watch the games he just doesnt standout as doing to much.
