Hey Omega, what do you think of big EVARRRRRRN Maric so far? Hoping he plays well for you guys.

During my free time I saw him come onto the field with Bachar Houli for a bit of a kick-to-kick... friendly enough to look up and say hello, was Ivan. The hair, I haven't seen something like that at Richmond since John Howat retired in 1997. I've hereby dubbed Maric "The People's Mullet" for the footy season.

In our group of footy-watching friends, we regularly repurpose and rehash nicknames, sometimes for very obvious reasons, sometimes not. E.g.
JB used to be Joel Bowden... Jake Batchelor has been given #11 this season and my brother pointed out it's good to have JB back.
I often call Jack Riewoldt "Prince Harry" because they look similar.
We used to call Kayne Pettifer "the P-Train" just out of reference to the "G-Train".
New draftee Matt Arnot, I've named him the "Biscuit".
We used to call Paul Broderick "the Brick" because one day the scoreboard abbreviated his name to "Br'rick".
etc. etc.

We do it for other sports too... cricket, netball, tennis, whatever we happen to be watching. The People's Mullet is suitable though. And he had a great game against North, definitely did better than Angus Graham did against the Hawks.

The sub board is dead. Long live the sub board.

Instead, we'll be using the nav bar system that uses the prefixes of threads to sort through every thread. This has already been on the board for a while now, but should be used alot more often now. Still use the same prefixes as before.
