Just because half of those blokes have experience or were good at some point, it doesn't mean they're good now.
Bruce and Bateman, I wouldn't be surprised if they retire at the end of the year. Ellis and Young, I wouldn't be surprised if they're traded at the end of the year - possibly free agency (not sure of current contract statuses). Cheney and Murphy are good depth players, yes, but that's it. Both will get game time, but neither will break into the first 22.
I'll give you Gunston and Gilham. I'm hating the talk about Roughead going back and playing a key defensive role, because I rate Gilham as a one-on-one defender. Gunston is good, Hill has potential.
Don't really know why you brought this up again, if you read my posts what you just said is what I've been saying the whole time.
The players I listed are all good DEPTH players, as I said. I agree Ellis and Young may be leaving at years end because they're very good players who can't crack the 22. Very much similar to McGlynn and Kennedy.
