I haven't watched a Simpsons episode on Channel 10 for 2 years. Probably because I no longer reside in the country! Don't miss it it one little bit though, the new episodes were getting worse and worse.

Lucy Liu on Futurama was my favourite celebrity voice on the Simpsons.

The 'Mayored to the Mob' episode with Mark Hamill was a good one too.

How weird that it, along with the softball and MJ episodes come from the first 10 seasons.

There's a site called Eye On Springfield which just has random screen caps from the first 9 years of episodes. I love visiting just to be reminded of a scene, be it "People Who Look Like Things" or "IDIOT RUINS GAME, Springfield Forfeits Pennant".

Can't think of an all time favourite, but two episodes I highly recommend are the one with Frank Grimes, and the one with Hank Scorpio. Those are the two best one-shot Simpsons characters of all time. (There's a crap later episode with "Frank Grimes Junior"... don't watch that.)

Oh god, I forgot about the great Frank Grimes! He was an amazing character, his mental breakdown was so short and sweet. You're right about Hank Scorpio as well. I think it's actually impossible to think of the best episode ever, whenever I think I've got it, I just think of another great one. I do like Cape Feare though...

It's easy to forget how amazing this show used to be, that episode was another cracker.

I'm watching Full Metal Jacket right now, the part where the song "Surfin' Bird" is playing, and the oo ma ma mow oo ma oo ma ma mow bit is perfectly in sync with E92's avatar.
