this whole god damn post

what is wrong with Western Australians
the iron ore gets to you after a while.

So I bought a French soccer shirt today. It will probably double as my new 'good shirt'.
I endorse this post. Ain't nothing wrong with supporting a country that's half-decent.

I don't understand why people on on BF try and track down user's Facebook profiles and then add as many as they can like it's some sort of achievement
So that's why you didn't invite me to your birthday party... :(

Guys, looking to buy cheap soccer jerseys, does anyone have any websites or contacts that they know?

Please PM me if you do, cheers.

I've just had an idea. Instead of a whole full-on series of SoO, there could be an East (VIC, NSW,TAS,QLD) V West (SA, WA, NT) so basically just South Australia & Western Australia V Victoria. Would be a good game. Players play for side they were born in instead of the team they play fors side.

State of Origin is about state pride or some bollocks, no? Vic and NSW aren't exactly fond of eachother in sports. This would just devalue SoO (not that I personally hold it in high esteem)

Yeah can't imagine people getting to passionate, but it would be a good game, not just Victoria dominating

WA v Victoria would be a real close game.

The rest of Australia combined couldn't even beat the Vics 5 years ago. You sandgropers be dreaming.

Vic would be lucky to get within 100 points of WA.

It could work if it was a charity match of something (similar to the EJ Whitten game. Having East vs West as a one off match. But you can't call it State of Origin, it's nothing like that

Times have changed and there's more and more star players from outside the Big 3 states.

If the players want SoO so much they can play it in the off-season, I don't want players from my team getting injured during the season/preseason. Play it after the GF so in Sep-Dec.

Considering Bennell or O'Meara wouldn't get a gig, and the Swallow brothers wouldn't even be on the bench... I think that says enough about how good a WA side would be. That midfield feeding in entries to Buddy, Kennedy, and Darling? With Ballantyne and Walters crumbing?

Who would be in WAs midfield? Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood and Dangerfield to name a fab four would roll over any WA midfield. Cloke and Roughead and two main talls wouldn't be too shabby either, Cameron too?

Roughead's great but Cloke's beatable – McPharlin would do an absolute job on him.

WA are better in the KP department:

Franklin
Kennedy
Darling

McPharlin
Mackenzie
Taylor

v

Roughead
Cameron
Cloke

Thompson
Lonergan
Gibson

And ruck:

Sandilands
Naitanui
Cox

v

Mumford
Goldstein
Lobbe

Medium/small forwards and defenders are about equal, but Victoria have the advantage in the midfield. That WA midfield in 5 years time though... geez...

O'Meara, Bennell, Fyfe, Martin, Swallow, Coniglio, Duncan, Yeo, Mitchell, fed by Naitanui

Would definitely take those WA players over the VIC players.

Get Trengove into one of those KPD spots, also I rate those Vic rucks better than the WA ones. Anyway man those WA midfield products are "SCARY GOOD"
Probably squeeze Trengove in ahead of Lonergan or Gibson.

I don't. Sandilands is the best ruck in the league, Naitanui second. I'd have Mummy and Lobbe ahead of Cox now. Don't rate Goldstein that highly though.

Lobbe > Naitanui
