Humility, the most powerful character trait you have control over no matter how much money one makes. Also the one trait you have serious influence over with bringing up your kids.

Unchecked, entitlement becomes a very dangerous landscape. Fortunes are lost (have seen too many times to care professionally) and yet more tragically in cases like this, victims effectively have life changing outcomes/ "life sentences" bestowed upon them and families torn apart as seen here.

What his wrap sheet at Xav's was, and then into this. Hard to have any sympathy for what has transpired yet must be galling for the family.

If this doesn't instigate humility and be cause for self reflection then nothing will. One can only hope.

According to comments on Reddit, the judges comments made it seem like he was going to give 10+ years to a rapist who showed no remorse.

And then he smashes him with a wet lettuce leaf. Such a shame that the well connected family wins out in the end.

Disagree
The family (and Tom) have been destroyed for much longer than the 6 years.
They will carry the stain forever
They had to sell their house and apparently, got unders
Tom SIlvagni could've got 12 months (not saying he deserved that ridiculous sentence) but he would've always been a convicted rapist
The winner here is the empowered victim who refused to be gaslit (or in all likelihood, paid off) and told the court what happened, and that she was 100% sure that it happened

All I've been told by a friend of mine who teaches there is that he was an arrogant, egotistical bully

As it should. Allegedly this isn’t even the first time he’s done similar, with another incident at Xavier (of course that’s only social media talk). As a person he’s trash.

Yeah, definitely. It was a poorly worded post by me.

It’s truly shocking the amount of nepo children who are arrogant and egotistical after having accomplished nothing and literally living off their parents wealth as the 23 year old Tom Silvagni was.

I actually feel for the family as much as well, victims themselves with their lives changed forever. Nearly broke from what I hear, obviously selling their Hosking st home to foot the bills.

The little shit gunna learn a lesson he'll never forget.
