But seriously, i've been pierced twice. By fish hooks. By other people casting. Once in the ear while baiting a hook behind my uncle. The other time was by my sister, who accidently cast sideways along the bank to where i was fishing. I was about 20m away. She got me under the fingernail. Precision.

And they wonder why i don't go fishing anymore.

Ouch!!! That happened to my cousin when we were younger. We were trout fishing in Harrietville (just outside of Bright)

I miss it, we used to go out in our boat most holidays. Catching massive flathead.

We used to go on fishing holidays with family and friends when we were bit younger. Booked the old man and my uncle a fishing trip for their birthdays. Dad got burnt to crisp and uncle managed to get sea sick. And no fish once again.

I don't have any tattoos.

Sleeves or full body tattoos on a body part are pretty ugly. Feel less is more for women who have tattoos.

I was fishing at blue rock lake with a lure and got snagged...
I tried to rip it free but didn't realise how close to the surface.

I ripped it our it came flying out the water and stuck to my chest.

My. Mate nearly fell in the water laughing at me.


I don't own a boat always go from land caught some good fish but have had alot of days of nothing.

Chilling in the sun with some music maybe a couple cigars.. Bliss

I prefer the sitting round talking shit more than the actual fishing half the time! Last time i fished was for a mates bucks party and we went out on a boat. Caught a good size gummy and fed us all later. Best flake i've ever had!

So it was dealt with properly?

If you don't kill and bleed them right away the meat gets tainted by the mercury in the blood and makes them taste crap... I live gummy shark myself.

I enjoy the fishing and the talking shit... If you can find a deso and knock back a few on the peir then awesome

It was killed and bled within 30 seconds of being out of the water. Filleted on our way back to shore a few hours later. Awesome.

That's the way. So many people waste a good catch by not knowing how to deal with them. Its sad as it's just wasteful

I went fishing for the first time this year. I didn't catch anything but it was pretty fun. Nice and relaxing!

For me it wasn't the actual act of fishing, I don't think, because I didn't catch anything. I think it was just giving myself the opportunity to stop and do nothing for a few hours. I work two jobs, volunteer for MS Society and study, so it's not often that I give myself a day to just hang out. It felt amazing.

From what people tell me, it's not always about the fishing anyway. A good excuse for friends to catchup, have a few drinks and throw their line in the water.

Nothing makes me happier than being by the water somewhere. Maybe that's why it holds appeal for me?

No beer garden in the world is anywhere near as nice as sitting in a nice quiet spot by the river. Also, the beer is much cheaper out of the esky!
