Just inspected an absolute rat shit of an apartment.

Overseas owner has being using it as 'storage' for the past 4 years.

And we're in the middle of a housing crisis.

Yes 'Storage'.

Can we make foreign property investment illegal yet?

Foreign investment and Air BnBs need to **** off

To be fair, If I had investment properties I'd be short-term renting the shit out of them.

I wish to be part of the problem.

Anyone catch Australian Story ep on Cold Chisel last night? I thought it was quite enlightening as I've always been a fan, although I had a few thoughts...

1. The Stones diehard in me could've done without the inference that Cold Chisel lasting fifty years is somehow comparable to the Stones lasting sixty. Aside from ten years being a long time in music, the ten years that separate the two (from 1963 to 1973) were, in the musical landscape, equivalent to about thirty years (Stones went from blues to pop to psychadelia and back to blues, all before Cold Chisel had even formed!) There's also the fact that the Stones have consistently been together sixty years, they didn't break up and have several mini-reunions after years apart. And they were still releasing great records well after their hey-day. Not to mention, the fact they even lived beyond their hey-days is some sort of miracle (especially Keith Richards.) I'm being pedantic here but I get defensive of my Rolling Stones.

2. Cold Chisel are also the rare band that have the wrong lead vocalist. I know Ian Moss still has his fair share of lead vocals on songs, but he is at least 700,000 times a better singer than Jimmy Barnes. What a waste.

Sadly i missed it .
Got to see CC quite a few times , even had to leave Vic Park in the last quarter to q up (we won )
Barnes was fantastic , but haven't really liked him since he started screaming

If you have ABC iView or whatever their streaming service is called, you should be able to watch it back.

Edit: Or here's the full thing on Youtube.

Okay, so yes I have a few thoughts...

1. I totally agree, there is absolutely no comparison between the stones and Chisel... none whatsoever!

2. The lead singer was not usually or even often, the best singer. He was generally the biggest personality, or the guy who knew the lyrics to the cover songs they sang, or the one who sang best first, or one of the original band members... If I remember right, Mossy was a late comer, not one of the originals.

And btw, I was there at the pubs they played in, watching them do their thing, dancing, singing and hanging by the left hand speakers with my boob tube, hot pants and wedges; drinking (bourbon and coke in a glass with ice and straw @ $1.10 a go) and smoking (Winfields) on the dance floor. They (Cold Chisel) were awesome!

Sounds like you weren't looking like a choir girl or crying like a refugee!

Do you handle the needles , thought about it in 05 but no . A mate got a Swans one in the USA and it got infected

Doesn't bother me , have to go somewhere decent and that you trust. But it's just like being scratched with a sharp fingernail for 90 minutes to get one that size .

The lady I have gone to a few times does a good job, others may not like it , but I do

That looks excellent. Really clean lines and the colour is fantastic.

Yeah I was really pleased , 2 ladies opened up a place here , they are brilliant. Very welcoming, professional , friendly and such a vibrant clean space

and their work is great.

Sounds dumb but I was bit intimidated or put off going into the normal tatt place

You go with what you're comfortable with. No shame in that.
