When I head down to my happy place, there's nothing better than falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing, especially on a summer night.

i am aware how lucky i've been in recent years to end up in a flat in a place i never fully appreciated, about five minutes' walk from the beach ... so i go to sleep every night to the sounds of the ocean, some nights it's more powerful, louder than others ...
and i never realised how much i'd love it

Mum and Dad used to live a few blocks from the beach, every time I went up there I'd unpack and head up to their top verandah to sit and hear the waves. The impact was almost a physical thing, just so mentally relaxing.

I lived in Broulee on the NSW south coast for some of my childhood! It was a 10 minute walk to the beach. Loved that place!
