Rap, artists, groups etc...

Was wanting some names of recent (ie less than10 years old), rap artists or groups, that have a heavy sound, and/or lots of scratching. I dont want any of the popular crud being pumped out on radio. That stuff is really poor IMO

Its been a long time since I have actually purchased a rap CD and am really out of the loop.
The old stuff I still listen too, Ice Cube, Ice-T, PE etc is gold, but I want to update.
If anyone is generous enough, Id love a name, and a description of the music. I realise this is a pretty broad SOS, but Id love some help.
Freestyle would be cool too if there are any good albums of that stuff.
