Coz I'd like to see if someone has actually listened to the band or know anything about them whatsoever, or whether they've come on the thread simply to spit mindless, irrelevant and totally ignorant vitriol at them when they actually have no idea what they're talking about!

Of course he hasnt heard the band. He just likes to mouth off to make it seem like he has a valid opinion. Too bad that he comes off sounding like a 14 year old girl instead.

I'd never heard of them until I scored a copy of "Hearing Aid" - the metal fraternity's version of Live Aid. Distant Early Warning will always be the song I think of when someone says "Rush".

Show of Hands my fave "live" album ever. A 3-piece for Christ's sake! Before I got married I harboured a dream of owning the catalogue - but stopped at Presto. A great band..."Closer to the Heart" is an all-time classic.

Show of Hands is by FAR their weakest live album. If that's your favourite live album ever, then you'll absolutely CREAM over Exit Stage Left, All the World's a Stage and Different Stages. And that Hear'n'Aid version of DEW ain't their best work either! I hope you own 'Power Windows'!!!! The greatest album of all time....

Pain in the ass when 80% of the threads created appeal to about 5% of the population.

Thats because 80% of music out there is ********house. And maybe a good deal more than 5% of the Big Footy population happens to like that form of music. I can see why you failed to make the obvious connections. Years of child abuse and the Collingwood gene would do that to a person.

Thx for the tip - I love their music, but I buy so few CDs these days. I'll look up Power Windows next time I'm in J&B. I do have Exit Stage Left, and it IS an excellent album.
