Probably my favourite drummer. Keeps a great beat, can go for it when he wants too, is very consistent and seems like a very smart man.

Also he decked Mick Jagger and told him "Don't call me YOUR drummer, you're my f---ing singer". Respect.

One of the very best.

Not a powerhouse by any means, but then again Mick and Keith would never have let anyone else be anything remotely approaching powerhouse.

Has the best feel of any drummer I've heard. In terms of my favourite Stones, he ranks a close #2 to Keith, and is way ahead of Jagger.

Magnificent effort to still be drumming, especially since he has been dead since 1981.

Seriously though much respect to the man.

still a very competent drummer, despite being what, 63? not as good as he was 30 years ago, but then again who is as good as they were at 60 than they were at 30?

Most drummers of the highest calibre keep getting better and better. Take Vinnie Colaiuta or Billy Cobham, both 50+ and 60+ and arguably two of the best drummers on the planet, they just keep getting better!

Watts is one of those guys that doesn't enter the limelight like his other bandmates but his drumming is still a great part of the Stones' songs.
